The Baby Farm Animal Celebration is back! On April 27 and 28, get up close with the farm's baby animals, plant an heirloom seed, participate in fun craft activities, and more.
Meet the farm’s Jersey calves, piglets, goat kids, and turkey poults and learn about their care on the farm. Special farm visitors will be there to delight guests, including bunnies, chicks, and guest lambs from the Aker Fiber Farm.
Animal ambassadors will give guests a chance to interact with animals up close. Rangers from the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park will talk about baby animals in the wild and show their cuteness captured on trail cameras.
This year, guests can watch live sheep shearing with experts Philo and Craig Marcotte, who will demonstrate the evolution of sheep shearing tools and educate visitors about the process. Children will enjoy story time with a farm friend and interactive activities including yard games and a chance to make hand-print bunny, peek-a-boo chick-in-egg craft, and a wearable seed buddy.
Delicious lunch options will be available each day from 11:00am – 4:00pm with the Sustainable Eats and Hangry Hogs BBQ food trucks. The Farmhouse Scoop Show will feature Vermont-made ice cream, snacks, drinks, and cotton candy throughout the day. And don’t forget to stop by the Museum Gift Shop for a great selection of baby farm animal-inspired gifts, mementos, and adorable animal stuffies to take home.
