Farm Tour and Artisan Cheese Tasting at von Trapp Farmstead | Open Farm Week 2024

Trace the path of the von Trapp Farmstead cheeses on a guided farm tour: from pasture + cows to creamery + cheese plate!

Here's what you can expect from this exciting tour: 

• Beginning at the farm store, you'll walk out on pasture and learn about how we manage soil health and cultivate a diverse diet for our cows.
• From there, you'll go find the cows - either on pasture or in the covered barnyard taking a mid-day break in the shade!
• You'll then take a peek in the creamery (where all the magic happens) and learn a little about cheesemaking.
•  Finally, you'll return to the farm store where you’ll get to sample all of our cheeses and check out the many local products in our farm store!

Tips: 

• This is a rain or shine event, so come dressed for the weather!
• Our tours are geared towards adults and older children. If you do plan to bring young children, they will need their own ticket and must be accompanied by an adult.
• Please leave pets at home!

Cost is $35 for adults and $10 for children. Please register for this event.
