This expansion has been in the making for the past three years and is funded through a grant from the Agency of Agriculture and the Working Lands Enterprise Initiative. This new space not only adds more retail and event capacity for Roots Farm Market but also enables Community Harvest to process upwards of 600 lbs. of local Vermont farm fresh food annually, or an increase of 200 lbs./year to feed Vermonters. This expansion also creates more jobs, and also enables Roots Farm Market to invest in and showcase the diverse array of agricultural and value-added products from small farmers and entrepreneurs across our state too.
