Wild Shepherd Farm is a grass-based, diversified, sustainable farm located in Athens, Vermont. They specialize in hardneck garlic, growing 35,000 heads of 7 different varieties. They seasonally milk their flock of dairy sheep and sell sheep milk to local artisan cheesemakers. They also sell their fresh Dexter cows milk off the farm. They raise grass fed lamb, Dexter beef, and heritage breed pastured pork. They sell their vegetables, herbs, flowers and meat off the farm from their farm stand, at the Brattleboro Area Farmers Market, the Townshend Commons Farmers Market, the Brattleboro Winter Farmers Market, and at regional Garlic Festivals. They work hard to provide the community with the healthiest food, while using the most natural practices to care for the land.
