Visit the center of historic Woodstock for the Market on the Green, with over 30 local vendors selling cheese, veggies, prepared foods, ice cream, pottery, bread, meats, and crafts. Visitors will also enjoy live music, children's activities, and more. This market is in good company in its lovely setting on the Green. The historic, pink sandstone Norman Williams Library on the edge of the Green is testament to the town's long history of literary pursuits; it was built in 1884 when private academies, a medical college, and reading circles flourished and five weekly newspapers were published. On the other side from the library is one of the region's iconic covered bridges (if you want to know details on the engineering of these bridges, check out this article on the nearby Taftsville Bridge from the Woodstock Historical Society). Step just beyond the market and you'll find an eclectic mix of independent retailers, boutique shopping, local craftspeople, and familiar brands in pedestrian-friendly Woodstock Village.
SNAP/EBT, Farm to Family, Crop Cash, and debit/credit cards are accepted.
