Join Dairy Manager Sam Dixon for a walk through some of our dairy pastures. You’ll learn about why healthy pastures are essential to the health of our Brown Swiss Cows (and to great cheese!), and how he manages the pastures to keep them productive and strong. You’ll also discover how we’re experimenting with silvopasture–grazing cows among planted trees–to help sequester carbon. This program is part of Vermont Cheese Council's Vermont Cheese Week, a state-wide, weeklong celebration of cheese and cheesemaking. Events are offered state-wide, and include educational, tasting and sampling, and on-site farm and creamery experiences.
